Don't Carpet the World | Episode 84

Don't Carpet the World | Episode 84

This episode is for those who have control issues and it uses the metaphor of laying carpet over the world to illustrate the insanity of trying to control others.

"It's easier to put slippers on your feet than to carpet the world" is a Chinese proverb. The carpet metaphor is used in this episode to illustrate the issue of control. I talk about how we can learn to stop trying to control others (carpet the world) and work on controlling ourselves (put slippers on our feet). This an example of what the Serenity Prayer refers to as "the wisdom to know the difference."
